Job Overview

We are hiring a QA Automation Manager to establish and scale a modern automation function within a currently manual-heavy QA environment.

This role will manage a team of seven QA practitioners embedded across delivery squads, while defining and executing a structured transition toward automation-led quality engineering. The focus is on embedding automation aligned to the SDLC, strengthening integration stability, improving release confidence, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a highly integrated gaming ecosystem.

Core Responsibilities

• Define, own, and evolve the quality strategy across the full SDLC
• Manage and mentor a team of seven QA professionals
• Drive the transition from manual testing to sustainable automation practices
• Review and optimise the existing Selenium regression suite
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Establish QA standards, governance, and quality metrics
• Ensure quality across APIs, databases, distributed systems, and integrations
• Support testing of wallet, payment, and transactional systems
• Ensure regulatory, compliance, and certification readiness
• Leverage AI-enabled testing capabilities to enhance automation maturity
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, compliance, and operations teams

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience as a QA Automation Manager managing Automation teams
• Experience managing QA automation practitioners across multiple delivery teams
• Strong hands-on automation testing background across functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing
• Demonstrated experience implementing and scaling automation frameworks
• Experience testing APIs, databases, distributed systems, and cloud-based systems including Azure
• Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD models
• Coaching and mentoring capability

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have or Willingness to Learn)

• Experience within online gaming or gambling platforms
• Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as UKGC
• Familiarity with performance, load, stress, soak, and security testing
• Experience with high-availability and high-throughput systems
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing approaches
