Job Overview

The Graduate Analyst role is suited to a top-performing graduate who enjoys analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and commercial impact.

You will work alongside highly capable teams to analyse client environments, identify opportunities for optimisation, and support the development of data-driven solutions. This role provides exposure to technical and consulting environments, and is ideal for individuals seeking a strong foundation in analytics, technology-driven performance improvement, and client engagement.

A strong mathematics background is essential, and candidates must demonstrate academic excellence and potential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support consulting teams in diagnosing business challenges and translating them into structured analytical problems
  • Analyse datasets, trends, and operational performance indicators to produce insights and recommendations
  • Contribute to building models, simulations or decision-support tools (where applicable)
  • Work collaboratively with technical specialists such as data scientists, engineers, and developers to support solution delivery
  • Present findings clearly and professionally through structured documentation and reports
  • Maintain a disciplined, detail-focused approach to analysis and delivery

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc Degree in a strongly analytical/scientific discipline, such as:
  • Actuarial Science
  • Finance & Economics
  • Mathematics / Statistics
  • Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechatronics)
  • Honours qualification (non-negotiable)
  • Strong academic track record with proof of excellence (Matric results and university transcripts will be reviewed)
  • Strong mathematics background (essential)

Advantageous

  • Technical ability or exposure to one or more of the following:
  • Databases
  • Programming
  • Software development
  • Simulation modelling
  • Understanding of markets, business environments, and industry trends
  • Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness
