The SMS channel plays a critical role in driving high-volume customer acquisition across core products in Credit, Debt, Phones, Insurance and Financial Services.

Job Overview

As SMS Marketing Strategist you will take full operational ownership of the SMS outreach engine. This is a hands-on performance role managing the full campaign lifecycle — from data segmentation, message creation, campaign setup and delivery, through to monitoring, optimisation and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Channel Ownership & Campaign Execution

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of daily SMS campaigns across all core verticals
  • Ensure accurate campaign setup, testing, scheduling and delivery
  • Write and optimise SMS messaging to increase CTR and response rates
  • Monitor campaigns in real time and make immediate adjustments
  • Troubleshoot delivery failures, low responses or system issues
  • Work closely with internal teams to stay aligned on targets, budgets and delivery commitments

Data Management, Segmentation & Optimisation

  • Work with large datasets via Excel, SQL, EasyMorph or CRM exports
  • Plan daily and weekly send strategies based on predicted performance
  • Maintain strong data hygiene and compliance
  • Implement rotation strategies to reduce data fatigue
  • Analyse performance trends and improve segmentation logic continuously
  • Support long-term data growth and enrichment strategies

Performance Monitoring & Insights

  • Track and optimise key metrics including CPL, response rates and lead-delivery accuracy
  • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly reporting with analytical insights
  • Build cost-models and financial performance projections for the SMS channel
  • Maintain strong lead-quality standards across all campaigns

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in SMS marketing, digital performance marketing, or campaign management
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities (lookups, pivots, formulas)
  • Experience with SQL, EasyMorph or similar data-analytics tools is beneficial
  • Understanding of performance funnels and CPL optimisation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to own and prioritise multiple campaigns under pressure
  • Creative thinking for messaging optimisation and A/B testing
