Our client is seeking an experienced C# Developer with Angular and SQLto join their dynamic development team in enhancing and maintaining a large-scale, web-based platform supporting their LISP (Linked Investment Service Provider) and Collective Investment Scheme management systems.

This role involves developing new modules, enhancing existing features, and ensuring seamless integration across various internal and external systems within the financial services environment. As a .NET Web API Developer in South Africa you’ll be responsible for building scalable solutions using Angular, .NET Web API, and SQL Server, while adhering to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

Working closely with the Solutions Architect, Software Architect, Business Analysts, and other developers, you’ll play a key role in delivering robust, high-quality software aligned with business requirements. Collaboration across teams and active engagement with end-users and management will be essential to ensuring effective system performance and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and users to translate functional requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance modules within the existing Angular and .NET Web API framework.
  • Build and enhance API integrations between internal systems and external financial platforms to ensure accurate and efficient data exchange.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify, analyse, and resolve performance or functionality issues across the full application stack.
  • Document technical designs, workflows, and release notes to support system understanding, maintenance, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, release cycles, and version control processes within Azure DevOps to maintain development standards.
  • Provide technical support to users by diagnosing issues, analysing root causes, and implementing long-term fixes.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of coding standards, development practices, and system architecture.
  • Accurately estimate development timelines and deliver work within agreed quality and performance standards.
  • Stay current with emerging tools, frameworks, and technologies relevant to enterprise-grade web application development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience with recent versions of the following technologies:

    • Angular (frontend development)
    • .NET Web API (backend services and integrations)
    • Microsoft SQL Server (database design and optimisation)
    • Git (source control and version management)
    • Azure DevOps (CI/CD, build, and deployment pipelines)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and maintaining modules within a LISP or Collective Investment Scheme management environment (essential).
  • Strong understanding of financial systems architecture, API integration, and secure data handling within regulated environments.

Nice-to-Have (Exposure or Willingness to Learn)

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a recognised industry certification.
