About the Company
This organisation is a long-standing credit-rating agency with a strong footprint across key African financial markets, including South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, and Mauritius. Established in 1996 as part of an international financial services group, the business has grown into one of the continent’s most recognised providers of independent credit-risk assessments.
In 2024, the company became part of a major global ratings and analytics group through a strategic acquisition, further strengthening its international alignment, methodologies, and regulatory standing.
The organisation specialises in issuing credit ratings and analytical research for corporates, financial institutions, insurers, public-sector entities, and structured finance transactions. Its methodologies are transparent, data-driven, and designed to provide consistent views of creditworthiness across both international scale and national scale contexts.
These ratings play an important role in financial markets by helping lenders, investors, and regulators evaluate risk, price capital accurately, and maintain confidence in environments where independent credit insight is essential. With a strong regulatory presence across multiple African jurisdictions and an increasingly global framework, the business continues to innovate across analytics, data quality, and credit-risk evaluation.
Job Overview
We’re looking for a Junior Salesforce Developer to join a small, hands-on IT team based in Johannesburg. The primary focus of this role is to support the ongoing development and enhancement of the organisation’s custom-built Salesforce applications, which play a central role in business operations across multiple internal departments.
You will work on a combination of Salesforce development and configuration tasks, including building new features, improving existing modules, supporting internal users, and contributing to automation and data accuracy. The environment consists of both established and newly developed Salesforce components, offering exposure to the full development lifecycle — from requirements and design through to testing, deployment, and production support.
This position is ideal for a Junior Salesforce Developer or Salesforce Administrator who wants to deepen their development capability and work on systems that are actively used by internal teams across several regions. You will collaborate closely with the Group CIO and various business units to deliver solutions that enhance visibility, improve efficiency, and support day-to-day operations.
In addition to the Salesforce focus, the role includes secondary responsibilities — with full training provided — across:
These secondary areas offer strong technical growth opportunities and contribute to a well-rounded development skill set within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary IT environment.
