About the Company
With a strong national presence and a legacy of trust, this leading South African retail group has been delivering top-quality electronics and appliances to local communities for over two decades. Operating through a network of independently owned stores, the company combines the power of group buying with personalised customer service and deep community relationships.
Their model empowers store owners to maintain independence while benefiting from shared systems, marketing, and support. The result is a business that remains agile, locally relevant, and customer-focused — offering well-known global brands backed by a reputation for reliability and after-sales service.
As the business continues to evolve, technology and systems innovation play a growing role in enabling operational excellence, user training, and long-term scalability.
Job Overview
This role sits at the intersection of business operations, systems support, and user enablement.
You will act as the organisation's primary business systems super-user, supporting approximately 100 staff members in understanding how daily business processes operate within ERP (Acumatica) and related applications.
This is not a traditional IT role. Rather than focusing on technical coding or infrastructure, this position centres on:
- User support and training (60-70% of your time)
- Process alignment and troubleshooting
- Vendor coordination
- System optimisation projects
You'll work closely with management and external suppliers to ensure systems are used correctly, efficiently, and consistently across the organisation—becoming the trusted "go-to" person for all system-related guidance.

- Guide staff on how business processes are executed within system platforms

Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Design and deliver internal training for systems and processes
- Conduct onboarding and refresher training sessions
- Create simple, user-friendly guides and support documentation
- Provide on-the-job coaching and upskilling
- Drive continuous user competency development
Vendor & Stakeholder Liaison
- Act as the primary liaison between the business and external system suppliers (4 applications managed externally)
- Log, track, and follow up on support tickets with vendors
- Obtain ETAs and coordinate resolution timelines
- Communicate system-related updates to internal stakeholders
- Participate in vendor meetings and optimisation discussions
Projects & Process Optimisation
- Support system enhancement projects (e.g., warehouse application optimisation, reporting tools)

- Engage with managers and key stakeholders during system changes
- Identify opportunities to improve system usage and streamline business processes
IT & Platform Support (Secondary Exposure)
- Provide basic Microsoft 365 support when the external IT team is unavailable
- Assist with user access, permissions, and basic system administration
- Maintain system documentation and access controls
Minimum Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in ERP or business system support
- Exposure to ERP platforms (Acumatica advantageous)

How to Apply?
This is more than a support role — it’s a rare opportunity to become the trusted systems expert in a stable, well-established national retail group. You’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple platforms, shape how business processes are embedded through systems, and grow into a strategic role with real influence.
If you're ready to build deep expertise and grow into a senior systems leader, this is your next step.
